Urban Green Care

This module deals with Urban Green Care. Green care is a range of activities that aim to improve physical and mental health and well-being through interaction with nature with a person centered approach to maximise the benefits and safety of the individual. The range of Green Care activities may include social and therapeutic horticulture, animal assisted therapy and care farming, as well as activities such as green exercise (e.g., exercising, gymnastics, yoga, jogging or walking in a green space, park, forest, garden etc.), community food growing and environmental conversation as long as these are designed as therapeutic interventions based on the needs of the individual rather than a broader target group.
