Forest Based Care

Rethink our behaviour in forests

Do you like seeing trash on the ground? Is the smell coming from spilled fuel pleasant to you? No matter what your answer is, these and similar phenomena are harming nature. Forests, too, are exposed to many harmful effects. This activity will lead you to acknowledge some basic behaviour that is forest-friendly and encourage you to think actively about how you can improve your behaviour when you are in the forest. It will also encourage you to tell others in your social circle about proper behaviour in forest and debate about why is this important.

In Resources section, you will find a link to a short animation, which was made by Slovenia Forest Service. Short animation depicts some of the humans’ doings that are harmful to forests and are not welcome in that environment. However, this animation does not contain any particular AUDIO aside background music.

Think of suitable subtitles that could accompany the video. Write them down.

Take your smartphone and record yourself doing voices for characters in the animation.

Prepare a short text to conclude all the actions depicted in the animation and include some more tips for appropriate behavior in the forests.

Write the text in the form, which could fit at the end of the animation and prepare a voice tape as well.

Share this text on your social media and show your care for nature to others. Try to encourage the debate in the comment section about importance of proper behavior in the forests.

Browse the internet to find some other rules for proper behavior in the forests. You can find some tips on the links in Resources section as well.
